SEGNI COMES BACK TO GIGLIO ISLAND!

From April 24-28, 2024, SEGMO come back to Giglio Island (in Tuscany) thanks to ForesTEEN project:

four days of challenging walking discussions, the ritual Teen Kitchen Table (the quintessential set for debate and discussion around a ‘table’), meetings with Tuscan stakeholders from the islet, curatorial participation in site-specific performances.

A cultural adventure in an amazing and out-of-the-box setting on a paradisiacal island!

The ForesTEEN Academy format is the star of this adventure that involves the active participation of young people aged 15 to 25 (find out how to become ForesTEEN Ambassadors here) from all over Italy and Europe together with cultural operators, Artistic Directors and artists. Starting today, you can apply to participate as a ForesTEEN Ambassador (15-25 years old) or cultural operator.

How to apply to ForesTEEN Academy.

The application is open nationally and internationally, and identifies a maximum number of 25 participants among cultural workers, artists, arts professionals, and young people between 15 and 25 years old (ForesTEEN Ambassadors, participating to the project).

To apply as a ForesTEEN (15-25 years old), write to segnidinfanzia@gmail.com indicating as the object of the mail “ForTEEN Academy application“, specifying personal data (and also the city of origin, useful for logistical requirements to reaching the island) as well as a brief motivational description (min 800 characters) explaining one’s reasons for applying and the expactations). Meals and accomodation are covered by the project thanks to the Creative Europe co-funding.

ForesTEEN Academy 2024 is one of the travel opportunities (#VisitingExperience) contained in the ForesTEEN Programming.

The ForesTEEN Programming is the calendar of events, meetings, and trips that one can participate in as a ForesTEEN Ambassador: by submitting a review that gives feedback on the perspective of the event attended and participated in, the young person (ForesTEEN Ambassador, 15-25 years old) accumulates a score that is equivalent to one’s cultural baggage. The greater cultural baggage, the higher the accumulated score, through which it is possible to access the selections of trips and opportunities reserved for the young participants, whose expeses are covered totally or partially by the project.
