Are you between 15 and 30 yo? Create the Visual for SEGNI 2024

It’s official: 2024 is the year of the Octopus!

Participate in the Open Call and you could become the face artist of 2024: from Saturday 10 February, send us an artistic work depicting the Symbolic Animal of 2024, on which the visual of SEGNI 2024 will be created, and that will accompany us in all the events of the year and the 19th edition of the SEGNI New Generations Festival!

The aim of this Open Call is to open to boys and girls the opportunity to give a body and a form to the animal chosen as the symbol of SEGNI 2024, the 19th edition of the Festival, which is now increasingly a project co-curated with the community of its spectators. The call envisages the selection by the Artistic Director, Cristina Cazzola, and the boys and girls of the TEEN group of Segni Associazione of an image from all those received, which will be used to create the VISUAL of the Festival.

The person who creates the image will receive a reward of € 500!

Over time this role has been filled by artists and VIPs such as Dario Fo, Altan, Alessandro Bergonzoni, Giorgia, Licia Colò, Alessandro Sanna, Dario Moretti, Virgilio Sieni, Arturo Brachetti, Vinicio Capossela, Giulio Romano, and the scientist Barbara Mazzolai.

All persons born between 1994 and 2009 can participate by submitting an entry that represents or is inspired by and refers to the Animal, realised with their preferred technique, as long as it belongs to the field of visual arts (e.g. drawing, painting, graphics, illustration, collage, video…).

The work, together with the participation form, must be delivered by hand or by post to the offices of Segni d’infanzia (Via L.C. Volta 9/B – 46100 Mantova) by 6 p.m. on 22/02/2024.

Underage participants must send an authorisation signed by their parents by e-mail to  segreteria@segnidinfanzia.org before the delivery/shipment of the entry.
