SUBMIT A PROJECT DEVELOPED BY TEENAGERS – 2026 CALL FOR PROPOSALS
Are you working on a project that involves teenagers not only as an audience but as active co-curators in creative and cultural processes?
As part of the ForesTEEN project, for the second year in a row, we are mapping projects that give young people a voice—not only in the creative process, but also in planning, organization, and decision-making!

This could be an exhibition, a festival, a workshop, or any initiative within the creative sector (e.g., exhibitions, events, communication campaigns, merchandise design, etc.)
We are particularly interested in understanding how involving adolescents as co-curators—not only in creative roles but also in organizational and decision-making functions—can foster deeper engagement and meaningful participation.
🚀 What we offer:
As a project leader, together with up to two participating teenagers, you will have the opportunity to:
- Take center stage at the SEGNI Festival in 2026 or 2027, either through inclusion in the official program or as part of a special presentation.
- Give visibility to your project/organization on the international cultural ecosystem map: your work will be shared, promoted, and made accessible to the public.
- Participate in the Online ForesTEEN Meetings, monthly transgenerational digital gatherings with teenagers and cultural practitioners from around the world, led by the TEENs of the ForesTEEN project.
- Receive an invitation to share your journey during a Masterclass at the SEGNI Festival 2026 or 2027, connecting with other professionals in the field.
- Gain a dedicated space in the FORESTEEN Online Festival, a digital space that connects young people to inspire and engage them.
We firmly believe in creating an equal space (both physical and digital!) where all generations can express their opinions—allowing teenagers to be co-creators and decision-makers in culture, not just consumers.
🗺 What We’re Doing
Our goal is to map and highlight projects and processes around the world that embody this approach. This effort is part of a broader strategy aimed at better understanding the ecosystem that makes adolescent engagement meaningful and sustainable in the creative sector.
✨ What We Mean by a “Co-Curation Process” with Adolescent Collaboration
A co-curation process is a creative or cultural initiative that actively includes adolescents in both the development and implementation phases.
Key elements include:
- Adolescent participation: Adolescents are directly involved in decision-making processes.
- Collaborative approach: adults and adolescents work side by side, combining different skills and perspectives.
- Creative output: the collaboration takes the form of artistic and cultural events or productions.
- Shared leadership: young people have the space to make their own decisions, share their points of view, and contribute. Adults play the role of guiding and supporting them.
The benefits:
- Empowers young people and amplifies their voices and perspectives
- Fosters creative and critical thinking
- Encourages intergenerational collaboration
- Leads to unique, youth-driven outcomes
- Involves adolescents in advocacy and representation processes
