Grand Tour of Italian Theatre For Young Audience 2026
A tailored journey through Italian performing arts for young audiences.
The “Grand Tour” invites international professionals to discover Italian theatre for young audiences beyond the visit to a single festival.
The path starts from one festival and offers the possibility to explore other events, artistic residencies, open rehearsals, local organizations, creative practices, territories, and cultural contexts.
How does it work? For Italian entities and organizations, it is possible to “adopt a professional” by offering a simple stop for international professionals interested in performing arts for young audiences by filling out a form.
01 Offer a moment Performances, open rehearsals, residencies, meetings with artists, venue visits, local projects, informal exchanges.
02 Share your info Dates, city, contact person, what you can host, practical availability, or potential logistical/hospitality support.
03 Join a route The Chain Reaction staff connects your proposal with the profiles of international professionals and Grand Tour itineraries.
Costs & hospitality Please indicate what support you can offer, if available: tickets, local transfers, meals, accommodation, or practical help. Each stop is confirmed on a case-by-case basis with the Chain Reaction staff.
If you are an international cultural professional, how can you proceed? You just need to:
01 Share your interests, available dates, and programming profile via a form.
02 Match The Chain Reaction staff will look for possible matches, connecting interests and availability.
03 Travel A tailored itinerary is created, with shared hospitality and meaningful encounters.
Costs & hospitality Participation does not automatically include full coverage of travel, accommodation, or meals. Support may be shared between partner festivals and Italian organizations, depending on availability.
The Grand Tour is part of the project supported by the Italian Ministry of Culture: Chain Reaction, a network of Italian festivals and organizations working in the field of performing arts for young audiences. It creates opportunities for international exchange, mobility, dialogue, and discovery across Italy. The project brings together ASSITEJ Italia, 6 Italian festivals, and a selection of international festivals connected through collaborations and twinning relationships. Read more here.
