💥OPEN CALL💥: STEP BY STEP – III edition

STEP BY STEP: meeting is a walk | 3rd edition: The word to young people | From 9 to 11 June 2025 between Bergamo and Brescia along Via delle Sorelle

Segni d’infanzia supports the initiative ‘Step by step’ one of the most significant legacies of Bergamo Brescia Italian Capital of Culture 2023 and for which the artistic director of Segni Associazione Cristina Cazzola worked.

The project is coordinated by Slow Ride Italia, the creator and manager of La Via delle Sorelle – the Way of Sisters that joins Brescia to Bergamo – with production support from Segni d’infanzia Associazione artistica e culturale ETS. In the 2025 edition, this event benefits from the contribution of the Lombardy Region within the project Giovani Smart 2.0 and from the collaboration of some associations and realities of the territory of Bergamo and Brescia including Potatrek-ODV, ASD Centopercento Lab, MilleMonti SSD A R.L, L’Associazione Migliori di Così – Festival delle Rinascite and Cento per cento Teatro APS ETS. The project also enjoys the integrated support of the Municipality of Bergamo and the Municipality of Brescia – Youth Policies, which are entrusted with the task of disseminating the call for participation throughout the two territories and making the opportunity accessible to all and sundry.

If you love nature, are interested in having your voice heard and are between 15 and 24 years old, you too can take part in the third edition: from 1 April the call to apply as walkers is open.

STEP BY STEP: Monday 9 to Wednesday 11 June 2025

Three days of walking together on La Via delle Sorelle – a nature trail connecting Bergamo and Brescia.

The Via delle Sorelle is a 130-kilometre-long stage walk connecting Brescia and Bergamo, through 34 municipalities. The STEP by STEP initiative is a three-day walk in which two groups of boys and girls walk La Via delle Sorelle at the same time, starting from Bergamo and Brescia and then meeting halfway along the way.

During the walk there will be trekking discussions, i.e. walks together with representatives from the world of culture, the environment and the territory to talk and discuss.

At the third edition, the theme will be ‘The Word to Young People’ to explore the concept of peace and well-being, understood as the ability to achieve balance in the management of conflicts, in relations with oneself, with others and with the surrounding environment. A unique opportunity to promote dialogue, sustainability and a culture of peace.
