CHAIN REACTION

Reazione a catena is one of the projects selected with the call for proposals “Boarding Pass Plus 2019” issued by the Italian Ministry of Culture to launch new and innovative networking projects to support the development of processes of internationalisation, as well as the role of artistic directors of festivals of theatre for young audiences, as promoters of our national production abroad.

Reazione a catena is a project that intends to develop the international nature of Italian festivals, to make them recognisable and accessible also to international guests.
The network will support the mobility of Italian professionals and programmers by promoting a call for proposal, Passport - Reazione a catena, aimed at enhancing the international visibility of Italian artists and programmers, through networking activities and by visiting some of the most important European festivals for children and young people.

The project partners are Italian companies and institutions who organise national and international festivals: Segni d’infanzia (project leader), Mantova; Associazione culturale di promozione sociale Lagru, Sant’Elpidio (FM); Factory Compagnia Transadriatica e Principio Attivo Teatro, Lecce; Giallo Mare Minimal Teatro, Empoli (FI); La Baracca - Testoni Ragazzi, Bologna; Teatro al quadrato, Tarcento (UD).

The six Italian companies taking part in the project are members of ASSITEJ Italy, who will be actively involved as project partner.

Along with these, there are twelve international festivals, whose organisers were particularly interested in the Italian scenario, and who will be hosting the project partners and the presentations of Reazione a catena.

It is an important opportunity to travel, gain insight and visibility.
Reazione a catena is only a starting point for the networking activities: at the end of the ten months of the project, the many Italian professionals involved will share their experiences, contacts good practices.

The Italian professionals interested in the project will have the opportunity to:
> participate in the call Passport-Reazione a catena and travel with the group of Reazione a catena, thanks to a mobility fund www.assitej-italia.it (news section)
> propose their festival as one of the project locations, hosting a presentation of Reazione a catena
> recommend interesting festivals to visit, that are not part of the current project network

The international professionals interested in the project will have the opportunity to:
> invite to their festivals the partners of Reazione a catena, as well as the Italian artists and professionals selected with the call for proposals
> propose their festival as one of the project locations, hosting a presentation of Reazione a catena
> recommend interesting festivals to visit, that are not part of the current project network
