PREVIEW AT THE MANTOVA VILLAGE

PREPARATIONS BEGIN FOR THE 9 OCTOBER PREVIEW AT MANTOVA VILLAGE AND THE GRAND OPENING PARADE OF THE XVII EDITION OF THE FESTIVAL ORGANISED BY SEGNI D’INFANZIA

Preparations are underway for Mantuan families (and not only) to take part as protagonists in the 17th edition of SEGNI New Generations Festival to be held in Mantua from 29 October to 06 November 2022. The festival dedicated to the new generations, promoted and realised with the contribution of the Municipality of Mantua, this year can also count on the support of the Lombardy Region thanks to the PIC – Partiamo dal Te! project and sees among its main supporters the Cariverona Foundation within the project “Green Snowball Effect. Percorsi di attivazione gentile della Green Generations”, which aims to activate sustainable thoughts and actions in the new generations and to make boys and girls, in turn, drivers within the community of ecological and environmentally friendly behaviour.

Participatory art and sustainability for the Inauguration. After the restrictions caused by the pandemic, the 2022 edition of the festival will return to animate the city with a grandiose event entirely dedicated to children: The Pedalling of the Ant and the Fantastic Animals. It will in fact be a large ecological procession that will cross the whole city of Mantua and take the public on the saddle of their bicycles to the Gardens of the Exedra of Palazzo Te, where, thanks to the support of the sponsor Gruppo TEA, it will be possible to take part free of charge in a whole day of special events and installations, including a merry-go-round operated by the sound of a piano, an interactive art work by an international theatre company and a sweet Inauguration snack offered by Antoniazzi.

On Friday 16 September, the Ciclofficina degli Animali Fantastici returns. The Inauguration parade will be open to all those who wish to participate by bicycle and on foot, but to experience the event as protagonists Segni d’infanzia reopens the doors of the art workshop La Ciclofficina degli Animali Fantastici, where adults and children can make and colour the animal silhouettes, which assembled with the help of artist Francesco Testi and the Teens – the adolescents of the Segni community – will thus transform the public’s bicycles in a true work of ecological art. The Ciclofficina opens on Friday 16 September from 15:00 to 19:00 at Spazio Gradaro. All appointments are available for viewing at segninonda.org. The templates depict fantastic animals and are made in collaboration with the young Mantuan paper company Formedicarta S.r.l.. A Great Preview for a Great Opening. The Mantua Village is once again hosting an unmissable preview of Segni New Generations Festival. In the company of the artists of the creative workshop, families will be able to experience an entire day of free workshops and collective performances in the streets and squares of the Village for families and children. At the three stations, participants will be able to make sculptures and colourful decorations and will have the chance to decorate the silhouette of the 2022 symbol animal: the Ant. In fact, a limited edition Ant silhouette will be available exclusively and only during the event at Mantova Village. Moreover, during the day the artists of the creative workshop will take the boys and girls on a parade through the streets of the Village, as a true dress rehearsal for the Inauguration event, for an unmissable preview. How to participate and book. All appointments of the Ciclofficina degli animali fantastici and the 9 October event at the Mantova Village can be viewed and booked free of charge at segninonda.org and eventbrite.it . Around the city one can already spot specimens in circulation and also bike installations promoting the event, such as the one at the Baratta Library, in Valletta Valsecchi or in Corso Umberto at Bernardelli Kids&Teen.
