Segni d’Infanzia, international festival of art and theatre for children, is a very important artistic event addressed to children, with a particular attention to children from 18 month to 12 years old. Segni d’infanzia considers childhood as a “place of the soul”, full of creative possibilities, with no codes and no schemes, able to release creative resources riches in images and histories, from which it is possible to take and explore ideas.
The festival has been conceived and thought to present children a high quality artistic proposal that offers them creative, emotional and stimulating inputs that children can absorb and revise in unexpected and brilliant ways.

Based on an idea of Mr. Dario Moretti, Segni d’infanzia is supported by the Town Council of Mantua and it is part of “Mantua, town of festivals” project.
The festival, sponsored by the Ministry of cultural heritage and activities, also obtained Lombardy region and Mantua Province’s patronage. Recently, it has been involved in the project Mantua, land of theatre.

The festival artistic direction and organisation is carried on by Teatro all’improvviso, a professional company of young theatre, acknowledged by the Ministry of cultural heritage and activities since 1980. The company developed a relevant experience both in Italy and abroad and the activity it has been engaged in since long in Mantua’s territory aims at fostering the growth and the spreading of an artistic and theatre-focused culture for childhood.
